Tesco Competition Rules, Terms & Conditions

  1. This Promotional Competition (“Competition”) is organised and run by Overhex Wines International (Pty) Ltd (registration number: 2004/032442/07), including its affiliates, partners, associations and agents (“Organisers”).
  1. The prize for the Competition is provided by Overhex Wines International (Pty) Ltd (registration number: 2004/032442/07).
  1. The Competition is open for entry by all British Citizens residing in Britain aged 18 (eighteen) years and older with a valid passport. Directors, members, partners, employees, agents and consultants of the Organisers and their affiliated companies, suppliers of goods or services in connection with the Competition, including agencies and/or their immediate family members and business partners or associates. The Competition is not open for entry by or on behalf of a legal entity. It is therefore only open to natural persons, who can use the prize himself or herself in the time frame set out below.
  1. By entering this Competition, all participants agree to be bound by these terms and conditions, which will be interpreted by the Organisers and the Organisers’ decision regarding any issue with the Competition will be final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into.
  1. This is an e-mail-based Competition. Entry will only be via e-mail to the assigned e-mail address as outlined on competition collateral.
  1. To enter this Competition, all participants are required to send an e-mail using “Offspring South Africa” as the subject line and the entrant’s full name to competitions@overhex.com.
  1. Entries for the Competition will be open from 1 September 2016 and will close at 15h00 (South African time) on 31 May 2017.
  1. Only correct entries received by the advertised deadlines will be considered for the draw. Any late entries received will not be taken into consideration.
  1. The number of entries per person, per day is limited to one. You may enter multiple days to increase your chances of winning.
  1. The winner of the Competition will be randomly selected by means of the automated system (random.org) from the correct entries received and the selected winner will be final and no correspondence will be entered into. The Organiser and/or their agents will not be held responsible for any disputes arising from the Competition or prize awards.
  1. The Organisers will endeavour to contact the winner once every day for 3 (three) consecutive working days, which communication shall be done at least via e-mail to the participant’s e-mail address  after his/her name is drawn. If the winner cannot be contacted or the winner does not respond to communication attempts during this period, the prize will be forfeited and a different winner will be selected in accordance with the rules. After the first selected winner has forfeited the prize as contemplated herein, the Organisers will make one attempt to contact each further name drawn until a winner is confirmed and successfully contacted.
  1. If a random winner is drawn from a list of e-mail addresses, the owner e-mail address will be deemed the winner, even though the account may have been used by another individual to enter the Competition.
The winner of the Competition shall receive the following: A FIVEDAY / NIGHT TRIP night trip for 2 (TWO) persons, being the winner and his guest, to South Africa with extra’s as per the description of the trip as set out below.
  1. The Trip to South Africa includes the following:
  1. Bookings with respect to the Hotel Accommodation and Flights will be made via a designated representative appointed by the Organisers, whose contact details shall be provided to the winner;
  1. The Trip to South Africa must be booked for, and completed between 1 July 2017 and 5 December 2017.
  1. Should the Trip to South Africa not be booked and completed within the stated period, the winner shall forfeit his prize in its entirety, and the Organisers shall not be liable for claims due to such forfeiture, either by the winner or his nominated guest.
  1. Hotel Accommodation is provided on a Bed & Breakfast basis;
  1. For the sake of clarity:
The Prize does not include airport transfers or travel costs to and from any airport, including travel to and from London, UK which will be for the winner’s own account,        
  1. The prizes are not exchangeable for cash, and will not be transferable or negotiable.
  1. The draw for the Competition prize winner will take place as follows:
  1. The winner of the Competition will need to provide the following to the Organisers, within 7 (seven) working days of date being notified of that he/she has won the Competition, in order to receive the prize:

  1. The Organisers reserve the right to randomly select an alternative winner from the valid entrants, in the event that they believe, in their sole discretion, that the drawn winner has contravened any of these terms and conditions. The Organisers’ decision shall be final and no correspondence will be entered into.
  1. The winner will accept and use the prizes at own risk. The Organiser and their agents will not be liable for any loss (including, without limitation, indirect or consequential loss), damage, personal injury or death which is suffered or sustained (including but not limited to that arising from any person's negligence) in connection with this Competition or accepting or using the prize/s.
  1. All participants indemnify the Organisers and their associated and subsidiary companies, and their directors, officers and employees and agents against any and all claims for any loss or damages, whether direct, indirect, consequential or otherwise, arising from any cause whatsoever from their participation in any way howsoever in this Competition.
  1. The Organiser and their agents accept no responsibility for any problems or technical malfunction of any communication network or any late, lost, incomplete, misdirected, incorrectly submitted, delayed, illegible or corrupted entries. The Organisers and their agents are not liable for any costs incurred, responses received or any other consequences of user error.
  1. The Organisers and their agents reserve the right to cancel, modify or amend the Competition at any time during the Competition, if deemed necessary in their opinion, on condition that it notifies the participants in a manner that is expedient according to their best ability. No participant shall have any recourse against the Organisers or their agents as a result of the cancellation of the Competition or any alterations of the terms and conditions and/or the Prize.
  1. Should the winner verbally or otherwise agree to it, the Organisers may publish the winner’s name, surname and images, including photographs, on their respective websites and social media pages without any liability to the Organisers and without any remuneration due to the winner.
  1. The terms and conditions and the rules of this Competition shall be governed by South African Law and the courts of South Africa shall have exclusive jurisdiction with regards to any dispute arising from or related to the Competition.
