Chicken Stew


1 kg chicken (skinless and deboned)

1 onion (chopped)

1 bay leaf

4 cups water

4 cups potatoes (chopped)

2 cups carrots (chopped)

2 cups mushrooms

1 cup celery (chopped)

1 tsp garlic powder

1 tsp thyme

1 tsp oregano

1 tsp marjoram

1 tsp basil

1 tsp black pepper

1 tsp lemon juice


Chop chicken, carrots, potatoes, celery, and onion and put them in the slow cooker. Pour the mushrooms on top.

Mix the bay leaf, garlic powder, thyme, oregano, marjoram, basil and black pepper together. Sprinkle the seasoning mixture over the chicken mixture.

Add the lemon juice to the water and stir. Pour in the water and lemon juice and put the lid on the cooker.

Let cook on high for 4 hours, stirring occasionally.
